Namitha was born on 10 may 1981,Surat, Gujarat, India. She was born in Punjabi Kapoor family in Surat, Gujarat. She is the only duauhter of a businessman dad and a homemaker mom.
Namitha studied in English Literature. Namitha was crowned Miss Surat during the year 1998. She also participate in the 2001 Miss India pageant and ended up as the fourth runner-up, while Celina Jaitley was crowned Miss India during this event.
Because of this achivment she got famous and did a many TV advertisement like Himani Cream & Hand Soap, Arun Ice Cream, Manikchand Gutka and Nile Herbal Shampoo.
Namitha made her acting debut in the Telugu film "Sontham" opposite to Aaryan Rajesh, directed by Sreenu Vitla. She has acted in several Himdi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and English movies. She also famous as an item girl in regional movies. After her famous dance number 'Arjuna Arjuna' she often appears in Tamil magazine front covers.
