毎月最終日曜日は一門の集まりがあります。
今日はその日で、基本的にはお休みですが、
師匠はじめ、一門の半分が
ニューヨークのコンベンションに出張の為、
仕事を一件入れました。

このお客さんは、しばらく韓国にお出かけになる為、
先に抜きで仕上げることになりました。
お帰り次第、見切りに行きます。

若干の修正。
胸から背中にかけての鳳凰なので、
脇の下を避ける為に鳳凰の足の位置を変えました。
Some revisions.

現在、鳳凰と朱雀、両方を別々のお客様から依頼されています。
で、これは胸から背中にかけての鳳凰の下絵、最終版です。
基本的には手書きですが、今回は尾羽のみ、手書きにしようと思っています。

別依頼の朱雀とは構図が似ていますが、所々、神としての装飾や、
顔つきを変えています。

It is asked for Chinese phoenix and god of the south, both now by separate visitors.
Well, this is a sketch of the Chinese phoenix to the backs from a chest. It is the final version.
It is　basically handwriting, but thinks that I will make only a tail feather handwriting this time.

Composition resembles the god of the south of the other request, but changes decoration as God and a look here and there.

ぼかし続き。
昔のデザインのため、
朱、深緑、黄金色と黒で仕上げたほうが
いいと判断して、
あえて、多彩な色を使わないように気をつけています。

来年からは一緒に海外に出かける予定です。

独立するときに師匠からいただいたものです。
生業としての刺青を続けていくことは大変な昨今ですが、
今生はなんとしてでも続けていく所存です。
この看板に賭けて、ぶれない人生を生きていこうと思っています。

When I became independent, I had from a HORITOSHI teacher.
I continue a tattoo as the occupation is hard these days, but the life will continue it by any means now.

Sun Ray - Dot Work

For many millennia the Sun was believed to be at the center of the Universe, around which all other heavenly bodies radiated. The Sun was a symbol of both royal and divine powers, adopted by both secular and religious authorities.

Nearly every culture has a creation myth that explains how the sun came into being, and often times an accompanying apocalypse myth that details the end of the world, as we know it, when the sun is destroyed or devoured in some manner. Many cultures have myths that explain the rising and the setting of the sun, and this repeating cycle of light and dark has come to symbolize life and death, regeneration and reincarnation.

I had a customer walking in, asking for the "Rays" of the sun, to be done on his arm. Sounds easy. But as he elaborated further, he actually wanted it to be done in "Dot Work". Meaning? Basically the design does not consist of any outlines or shading, but its purely done by just dots. Nothing else, just plain DOTS !!

After pricking in 1000s of dots in his arm, it was done. Of course, he felt every dot tat was done on him - Each and Every dot !!

今日は、少し動き出しました。
いくつかの打ち合わせのあと、
少し散歩をしました。
寝たきりの状態で一週間。
筋力の低下を改善するため、
少しづつ動かなくては行けません。
若干、痛くて再発怖い（＾－＾；）

で、坂田公時（金時）怪童丸、いわゆる金太郎の下絵に手をつけています。
写真はめずらしい団扇の金太郎で、これを参考にしているわけではありません。
